HOW I WORK
The most important thing I will do on your wedding day is pay attention.
On the day I will feel like a familiar presence. Present when needed and observant when it matters. I believe the best images come from trust, connection, some humour and those unguarded moments.
I take a limited number of weddings each each so I can give each one my full attention. The means understanding what matters and showing up as someone invested in how it goes, not just how it photographs.
I SHOOT FILM
35mm and medium format, alongside digital. I carry more cameras than is strictly reasonable.
Film changes how I work, not just how the pictures look. Twelve or sixteen frames on a roll means I can't spray at a moment and sort it out later, I have to decide, in the room, that this is the one. That discipline shows up in everything I shoot, including the digital.
It also ages differently. Your photographs won't look like 2026 in fifteen years' time, and that matters more than people think when they're choosing.
WHERE I WORK
Perth is home. It isn’t the limit.
I've shot weddings in New Zealand, Indonesia and Italy, and I get back to Europe most years. I hold an Italian passport, so I can legally work anywhere in the EU without the visa gymnastics. If you're planning something in Italy, France, Spain or Greece, that's one less problem on your list.
SOME HONESTY ABOUT FIT
Coverage starts at $5000 for intimate weddings. I take a limited number of weddings a year, because the way I work doesn’t scale and I don’t want it to.
If you want someone who'll stay completely out of the way, or who'll work through a shot list off Pinterest, I'm not your person — and I'll happily point you to someone who is.
If you want photographs that someone actually made, with a point of view and the odd two-minute detour to chase good light, we'll get on.
